Well, these are nothing new. When I was studying fashion myself, my classmates made trousers similar to these. Except they were lace. And a skinny fit. Note! Not leggings, but trousers.
She was very proud of them, the poor model not so much. This was 5 years ago.

Gokarm – it’s a talent, but also a curse. Some folks see dead people – I just see badly dressed one.
And yes, there is the suggestion of a dropped crotch here, just to add to the general fug. I guess you could wear them on the beach as a kind of cover up, but, er, I wouldn’t. And why must Yoox always photograph the models they force into these see-through garments in THONGS, for the love of God?!
