Hairy, scary ankle boots by Sergio Rossi

Sergio_rossi_ankle_bootsWell, we don’t know about you, folks, but we’re pretty sure we’ll be having nightmares tonight. And probably every night, until we can somehow manage to get the image of these Sergio Rossi ankle boots out of our heads. Speaking of heads, whose head is that on these boots, we wonder? Elvis? Some other poor unfortunate who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time? Anyone out there missing a toupĂ©? And are we the only ones who’re completely icked-out by these?

These are just one of a few Sergio Rossi designs to feature fur or hair right now, and they cost $910 from the designer’s website. We don’t think “hate” is too strong a word for how we feel about these, but we have to admit to a certain degree of curiosity about them. How would you clean them, for instance? Would they need a shampoo and blow-dry? And, more puzzlingly: who would wear them? What would they wear them with?

So many questions. If you think you have the answers, please, speak up…

It reminds me of a cute, shaggy, pony. I imagine the toebox as his snout.
But even I don’t want a cute, shaggy pony on my feet.

Do ponies have snouts? I think I meant it was his nose.

I think you’d have to take these to the dog groomer’s to clean them. I can just imagine the snow clinging to these in little gnatty balls like it does on my mom’s dog.

They remind me of work horse hooves, like the big ol’ Shires my cousins use to breed.

yeah, I was thinking shire horses when I first saw them. But, I do see what kelly means by little ponies faces… I don’t think horses (or ponies) is a good look for human feet (lol – or any part of the human body for that matter!).

You could wear them with jeans! That way people will just think you have exceptionally shaggy leggy leg hair rather than thinking you’ve got really awful taste in boots!

At first glance I thought you’d posted a picture of your pet pony…which i can safely say is NOT something that should be said about a shoe..or any clothing item for that matter

XD Carol, I sadly think you’re right.
Seriously.. Imagine desperately trying to avoid mud and dirt in these? You’d get what looks like little poo dags hanging off your ankles.

I can imagine an ugly scene in which my dog would either try to attack or befriend these boots if I dared to bring them into our home.

I cringed when I read the title, and I was still surprised by how bad they are. I agree they remind me of feathered work-horse feet.

Project runway America, season 5 with that Chris guy that made his final outfits out of human hair and safety pins… Maybe he made a boot too.
