Budget* Buy of the Week: ruffle blouse from Frederick’s of Hollywood

ruffle blouse Budget* Buy of the Week: ruffle blouse from Fredericks of HollywoodFrederick’s of Hollywood. We have to confess, theirs is not a website we’ve been known to police, so when we spotted this red ruffle blouse over at Vie Couture earlier this week, we had to rub our eyes to make sure we weren’t seeing things.

This is $39, and has a nice, slightly vintage look to it: the nipped-in waist, deep v-neck and bright red colour will make it super-sexy when worn with a pencil skirt and a pair of heels, but it could look equally good with a pair of trousers or even dressing up a pair of dark denim jeans. Buy it here.

* For the purposes of this column, we’re defining “budget” as “less than about $50 / £25″…

  1. That’s just my kind of blouse! :D Although I have feeling that neckline wouldn’t flatter someone of my modest bust as much.

  2. Hmm, I don’t really like it. The fabric looks too shiny, so it looks a little bit cheap to me. And not silk shiny but polyester shiny. The plastic-looking matching color belt does little to help this.

  3. I really like this, and I would wear it exactly as you say: with a pencil skirt or nice trousers. Looks perfect for parties over the upcoming holiday season!

  4. I am menopausal, so I hesitate to wear anything that is not made of pure, natural cotton. Them hot flushes, they are just the pits! So for that reason alone I would not wear this.
That said, the colour is divine and my boobs would look gorgeous in it.
If only it was available in silk…
