Dress of the Day: Richard Chai Curve Seam Silk Dress
At first we thought the ruffles (there’s that dreaded word!) on this Richard Chai dress were a little too much, but the more we look at it, the more we like it. It has a bit of a fairytale quality to it, and while it’ll never be the kind of dress you’ll get a lot of wear out of (kind of a deal-breaker for us given that it costs $2,695), if you have a very special occasion in mind, this could just be the very special dress to wear for it.
Get it at Saks Fifth Avenue .
wow – if that was a little bit longer (and a LOT cheaper) I’d love it!
Hm…it’s just a fit issue, I guess…but the arm holes are bugging me. If the dress fit like a glove, it’s be beautiful AND i could get a better sense of exactly what the designer was going for…as it is…I dunno. I do like the ruffle back though. No question about that. And the color.
Not usually keen on ruffles myself, but I do like this one. I love the colour and the seams at the front, it all seems very flattering.
it’s wonderful!
what a beauty!! love the colour!!
I am also bothered by the fit of the armholes. However, other than that, it certainly is a very striking dress.
I love the back and the vibrant colour, but what’s with the neckline/bust area? And I echo the sentiments regarding the arm holes. It looks as though it would be horribly unflattering on anyone larger than an A cup.
beautiful,
but im guessing only certain people with catwalk model figures would be able to pull this one off?
Thanks for your help.
RichardChai.
Gorgeous colour, not sure on the ruffles though.
