The only reason that dorothy perkins one looks so cute is because it’s pinned and tucked onto the mannequin body. It doesn’t actually LOOK like that, I’m guessing. So…personally, I prefer the cashmere one as well, INCLUDING the buttons…but i’m not a big cardigan wearer. They always look a little dumpy or prissy on me.

I have to go against the grain here and vote for the cashmere one. I wear cardigans almost every day because my office, like FPHQ, is cold both winter and summer. That sweater would get so much use that I’d pony up the extra money to make sure it was good quality and would last. But I’d switch out the buttons to some that matched better.

Yep. Definitely the Dorothy Perkins one. Though I’m convinced the ‘spensive one would look much better if it was shown on a model. I bought a really nice cardi from Zara for £12. They had lots of lovely bright colours, but they were shorter than these. I also got a long one from Primark for £8, but we wont talk about that…

Sadly, you can’t really buy knitwear for very much less than the £22 in the UK, I’m afraid, unless you go to somewhere like Primark or Matalan… Dotty Ps is regarded as the lower end of the price scale, before you get to the real cheapies!
Just out of interest, what kind of price would you all generally pay for a basic cardi?

I am going to jump on the bandwagon here and say that the cheaper on is waaaaay cuter. The color is better and the style is much more feminine and modern (the other one looks it would make you have no shape).

I agree with Amanda! I wouldn’t spend $44 on a cardigan to begin with, but even if they were both the same price I’d go for the one on the right. I really don’t like the cashmere one.

The cheaper one is definitely cuter. But I’m cheaper still; I’d call that a splurge.

Definitely save, for a couple reasons: I like the cheaper one better, and I know that as soon as I put on the lovely cashmere a hole or run would appear. It’s just inevitable with me.

Maybe I’m odd, but I don’t like wool in any form, not even cashmere. And I, too, like the style of the sweater on the right.
