Open Cup Bras: frame your boobs, offer no support whatsoever
We were going to describe this open cup bra by Kiki de Montparnasse as the most pointless (or perhaps "cupless" would be a better choice of word here) thing ever, but of course, that’s not quite correct: not only do shants already hold the title of Most Pointless Thing Ever, this bra does actually have a purpose. It’s purpose is, not to support your breasts, but to frame them, as if they were pretty paintings or other works of art.
In other words: it’s supposed to be sexy. Are we the only ones who think it just fails at that?
Ah well, ours is not to question what people decide to wear in the privacy of their own bedrooms, so if the cupless bra sounds like exactly the kind of thing you’ve been looking for, you’ll find one more after the jump…
Loads more of these at Trend de la Creme…
That just seems INCREDIBLY uncomfortable.
Um, maybe I just don’t get it, but if you’re going for that kind of sexy, isn’t it simpler to wear nothing and save yourself $75??
or just fashion a similar device out of some yarn that happens to be lying around the house…
Wow, so not sexy! The ones with bows and elastic strips over the nipples look especially uncomfortable and perhaps itchy.
These just reminded me of that Archie comic where Betty convinces Veronica to wear these “new” pantyhose that are so sheer you only see the seam at the back, but really Betty cut out the hose part and Veronica was just wearing seams with feet.
Umm.. they might look mildly sexy on someone with rock hard implants, but I think everyone else should have some sort of support and COVERAGE.
Surely, a little left to the imagination is far sexier than baring all?
This just screams bondage. The only time anyone could wear these would be laying down on the bed – otherwise, us ladies need some support!
‘Framing’ your breasts? In case people inadvertantly miss them?
Amanda, I totally remember that particular archie comic…it was one of my favs. It is a strikingly similar circumstance as the one we have here, and it makes the archie comic that much funnier since that sort of thing actually happens in real life.
