What Not to Wear when you’re the Mother of the Bride

We found this dress in the Mother of the Bride section at T J Formal. Assuming it’s not just a simple case of miscategorization*, CAN YOU IMAGINE THE WEDDING?
Note to Mothers of the Bride (and anyone else attending a wedding, come to think of it): showing up nearly nude is not good form. Although, we suspect that if you rock up to your daughter’s big day dressed like this, you’ll probably have more than just The Fashion Police to worry about.
* Even if it is miscategorized, it’s still inappropriate. For every occassion.
And an inappropriate model – she looks too young to even get married herself – let alone be the mother of a bride!
If my mother turned up wearing this I’d be seriously worried that she’d lost her marbles or something…
Hahaha, mother of the bride indeed. Maybe if she’s Anne Bancroft a la Mrs. Robinson.
Oh god, I’ve just had a horrible mental image of my mother wearing this…
No. No occasion calls for this. It’s too naked to be for anything but a strip club. But in a strip club, how could you maneuver around those poles in such a long skirt?
That is hilarious!
And that is definitely not an appropriate dress for any formal occasion, though I could see it being a hit at the goth club I used to visit years ago.
I would KILL to see an aging, flabby woman wearing this to her son or daughter’s wedding. KILL. What a way to thumb your nose to convention! What other people describe as eccentric, I describe as “interesting”. As gawd-awful as this dress is, and as inappropriate as it is…it’s so very much more interesting than the appropriate choice.
ahahahahahahahahaha
Oh… wow… um…
Wow. I mean, most mother of the bride dresses are too matronly, and this one certainly isn’t.
I think this is ideal for Mother of the Bride. If the Bride happens to be Cher’s daughter.
Typical prom dress.
it looks like an ugly belly dance costume.
