Dita Von Teese for Wonderbra – a match made in Fashion Police heaven

Ditavonteesexwonderbra_3If The Fashion Police were to have a poster girl, Dita Von Teese would probably be it. She’s stylish and sexy without ever looking trashy, and given that this is a burlesque dancer we’re talking about here, that’s quite the accomplishment. So, even although we normally have to suppress a yawn at the news of yet another celebrity fashion line, when we heard that Dita was designing a collection for Wonderbra, we sat up and took notice instead.

Wonderbra by Dita Von Teese will be available from September 23rd, but we have some more pictures of the new line under the jump. Let us know what you think!

*sighs* I’m underwhelmed. Maybe it’s the lighting, but these don’t do a lot for me. I LOVE Dita as well and the middle one is quite charming, but that last one…i’m irked. A tad tasteless and a lot impractical…and not even all that sexy on a normal woman (Oh Dita, you and that itsy bitsy waist of yours).

  2. Daisy says:

I’m not too crazy about these either. Except for the one with the polka dots, because everyone knows I just loooooove my polka dots.

  3. S says:

I love the old fashioned pin-up girl look, which Dita Von Teese pulls off oh so well.
I’m interested to see what the collection looks like.

  4. Mousy says:

Like Daisy and Gokarm, I like the middle one with the polka dots. I’d definitely buy that set. The other two don’t do much for me. :( Decent, but… nothing that really catches my eye.

  5. peachfish says:

Love the polka-dot one! Especially the cute matching panties! Like the bra in the first pic, but not so fond of the panties. The 3rd one is just kind of “meh.”

  6. Ros says:

I adore Dita! but am slightly disapointed!
The first one is very blah – similar to 100 things in M&S. The second one is very cute and my fave. The third I assume is a version of their new convertable bra and hence the wierd straps. And the sheer gloves?? Do I anticipate a schlove trend!!!!???

  7. Ros says:

Oh and the tiny waist is due to waist training by corset. Not for the faint hearted, or anybody that needs to bend!

  8. Sarah says:

I love Dita and I think that all of these are quite cute. She looks gorgeous :)

  9. Cadi says:

Oh her waist is trained alright. I forget ho tiny she can get it now. Something human anatomy shouldn’t permit.
I like the collection, but I’m more worried about how they feel…I’m a comfort over style sort with my undies, unless they’re for special occasions!

  10. Amanda says:

I actually really like this line. It’s fun and feminine without bordering on drag queen, which I find a lot of fancy undergarments remind me of.
And I love Dita. I wish I could walk around looking like I’m about to say, “Hello, sailor.”

  11. Danielle says:

Oh Dita.. I would prefer to see her in this lingerie rather than wear it myself

  12. Am says:

Hmmm… It is ok, I like the polka dot one (like everyone else!) but I’m just not throughly convinced.
As for training your waist by wearing a corset – I’m thinking of digging out the corsets I had to make in college, just for this purpose – wish me luck! (and lets hope I can still get into them!!! HA!)

  13. Jazz says:

I’m more impressed by her skin. It’s probably airbrushed…but it still looks flawless. And, yeah, these are probably more fun to look at than wear, though I am interested in what the rest of the collection contains.

  14. Steph says:

Dita, how do I love thee… but I agree that the underwear is not as spectacular as expected. It’s pretty underwear, but not overly original. Still love that lady, though!

  16. Kerry says:

I think the lingerie is a bit “meh” too.
I realise that Dita is pretty much the most glamorous 40’s style retro icon there ever was, but is everyone forgetting that she’s not just a burlesque dancer, but a bonafide adult movie “actress”! Kinda takes the shine off for me…

  17. Eva says:

I assume they won’t be made over a D-cup, fancy underwear never are (unless you look at specialist brands), so they could be the prettiest things in the world and I _still_ couldn’t buy them.
