I like the Steve Madden ones better the original Dior version. I waited until they went on sale. I got the brown instead of the black. I think its all in how you style your outfit around the shoes. Nobody has a freakin monopoly on “style” not celebrities, not stylist and that the self-righteous fashion snobs. Ladies I say “go for yours” save money and get the Steve Madden or the Baker version. Both look hot and you will look hot in them! Do your thing!

Well, it was possible to (somewhat) afford the designer version a year ago (when I got mine for less than half price), before the SATC movie, before Dior re-released them to coincide with the SATC movie, before every Carrie Bradshaw wannabe had to have a pair, which lead to the shoes being sold at hideous mark-up on eBay and the market being flooded with knock-offs. People need to learn to find their own style, instead of relying on celebrities and characters in shows/movies to dictate it for them…

I actually like the Steve Madden version better, with the embossing on the front and the bit of snake skin of whatever the print is? I think they’re fab.

I have an immense dislike for Steve Madden and his over-commercialized shameless plagiarizing techniques.
So no, I will not put money into the man’s pocket. I own one pair of Steve Madden shoes and they were bought at a second-hand store.

I actually prefer the Steve Madden ones. And they’re cheaper!
