We’ve already gushed uncontrollably about the beauty that was the Christian Dior Fall Couture Show earlier this week, but now that the excitement has worn off ever so slightly, let us just take a moment to focus on the stand-out feature of that show: the sheer skirts!
If this show was anything to go by, it looks like sheer is the trend that just refuses to die – for now, anyway – although the beauty of the clothes made up for it, we think. Of course, there’s always the possibility of wearing something underneath these pieces to make you look a little less like you forgot to get fully dressed before leaving the house, but oh, if only they had "proper" skirts, we’d be able to love them that little bit more!

Yeah, if you’re going to do sheer, this is the way to do it. I actually think the black number would lose something if it were solid…obviously it’s conceptual since no one but a model could pull this look off and it’d be a nightmare on the red carpet.
The problem with sheer skirts is that you have to have a really nice pair of legs to go under them.
Personally, nice legs or not, I find that the sheer skirts interrupt the visual flow of the outfits and force you to look at parts rather than the whole.
I agree with Gokarm (cool name btw) about it being conceptual. Though I’d love to see it on the red carpet!
The black one is just gorgeous. Not wearable, though
I think the black Shress is pretty
The black one is A-FREAKIN-MAZING!
