Miu Miu continues to confuse us. Over the last couple of years, the label has been responsible for some of our most favourite shoes in all the world… and some of the shoes we’ve most wanted to place under Fashion Police arrest.
Rather than simply telling you which category we think these suede platforms belong in, though, if, indeed, they belong in either), we’re going to let you do all the work, Jurors, by placing these shoes up On Trial.
They stand before you, accused of committing Crimes Against Fashion. Are they innocent or guilty, though? Only you can decide…

Oh yes, these shoes. No, I don’t really care for them. They’re too pieced together. I like my shoes to look fluid and whole, as though they are a single entity. This is just stuck together. The results are artistic, but ultimately displeasing to me.
Not a fan. They wont be gracing my feet anytime soon!
I’m not bothered by the suede, or even by the colors, but the design looks very clumsy, as though they took a nice basic shoe and stuck it inside the base of another, larger shoe.
I agree with all of the above plus the colours don’t match. Guilty!
ugly
Reminds me of a mid-nineties hotel lobby or movie theater color scheme…or the interior decoration of a McDonalds.
That’s what I was thinking, Mona!
Guilty.
I’m with Mona and Amanda.
Don’t like the colours, don’t like the bulkiness of them, especially don’t like the square toe. Overall conclusion: hideous.
While there have been worse shoes, the thing to consider is whether or not you would wear the shoes yourself. And these? These make me think of clowns. So, guilty. Oh so very guilty.
I rather like them. they remind me of a cubist painting.
ummm, the shoes by themselves are quite interesting in my opinion. Just one question though, what would you wear those with? I can’t see anyone wearing these shoes in a way that doesn’t make them look weird. cool shoes, but they’re ART, not for wearing.
Oh, so guilty!
Guilty. The square toe and the ” ice- cream cone’ heel is hideous!
@ Anna – the thing is, though, they ARE actually for wearing, they’re sold as shoes, not as something to put onto your mantlepiece!
Glad to see the consensus here confirms what I was thinking: I’m really not keen on these either, or on most of Miu Miu or Prada’s latest designs. I wish they would go back to making the gorgeous shoes of last year, rather than these pieces of “wearable art”.
I regret to inform you, shoes of Miu Miu, that you are arrested for violating fashion in such a harmful way that it simply cannot be ignored.
In it self, as im sure you are aware off, it is a crime to bring back the ugly of the 80′s.
We wish for your understanding and that you never repeat this ugly crime again!

ii don’t even see them as art, they are just plain tacky
These shoes are a weird combo… They’re a platform, but with the old-lady patch look, and other than being a platform, is pretty conservative… after some consideration I’ve decided that they’re for elderly, retired strippers.
