Mischa Barton designs handbag range for ASOS
That Mischa Barton is often described as a fashion "icon" has long been a source of surprise to The Fashion Police. This is, after all, a woman who has seen the inside of the Fashion Jail more often than most, although, to be fair, she’s had her share of stylish moments too.
If you’re amongst those who think Mischa’s style is to be admired, then, you may be interested to hear that the actress has just designed a line of handbags for ASOS.com. The Coco Shoulder Bag (above left) and embossed leather bag (right) are shown above, and you’ll find more images from the line under the jump. What do you think of Mischa’s prowess as a handbag designer? Will you be buying?
The leather flap-over shoulder bag on the left is our favourite, and is £145. The Tapestry vintage shoulder bag is a little less expensive at £50.
Bows! The large shoulder bag on the left is £170, the smaller one (which we also like) is £75.
Opinions?
At least her handbags are better looking than many of the outfits I’ve seen her wearing.
I think they look kind of tacky and predictable.
I really dislike them. They look so plain, a lil’ cheap and quite frankly ugly.
No wow factor, and a boring lil’ logo with a flower. How dry and very unoriginal.
The ugliest one must be: Tapestry vintage shoulder bag – Goddamnit that is disturbingly ugly. It really looks like a bag that can be found in a charity shop for the poor and elderly.
Her, on the other hand I actually like.
Why would she put her name on those boring, ugly, seen before in 1995 overprized horrors with such boring colors? I wonder..

Ricki – that’s more or less what I thought of these. I don’t find them ugly, but I don’t think they’re anything particularly special, either. Seems like a bit of a wasted opportunity for Mischa.
its kinda strange, some of them i really like, then some of them are so plain and tacky!
either way, not nearly as good as her usual style, but id buy at least two of them… i like that silver one, the first showm, but the brown next to it? urgh!
