Swimwear Section: gingham one-piece from Delia’s

Gingham_one_piece dELiAs.cOm is one of our favourite places to find cute and affordable swimwear, so when they’re having a sale, it suddenly becomes even more attractive to us.

We found this pretty little gingham one piece in the clearance section, for just $14.99, and think it makes a nice change from all the bikinis we’ve been featuring lately.

The ruffle trim, halter-neck and high cut legs make this far from demure, but it’s still going to offer a little more coverage than a bikini, and it looks sweet, too. Only available in a size xs on the website, I’m afraid, but you may have more luck in-store, if you have a Delia’s near you.

There are holes in the side. No thank you.

  2. peachfish says:

NO! It has side cut-outs! Those flatter NO ONE!

  3. Am says:

It is great to see you putting one-piece swimwear on the site – but this isn’t that nice (yes, gingham is great, yes, bows are great, but the cut out sides… NO!)

  4. Amanda says:

Yes, aside from the side cut-outs, I would have liked this one. I love how one pieces are becoming cute again. Sometimes, a bikini just isn’t appropriate, I think.

  5. To be completely honest, I’m not keen on cut-out sides either, but with features like this one and Dress of the Day, I do my best to try and provide a bit of balance, and use different types of styles, rather than only the ones I would wear. This one obviously wasn’t the best choice, but as I’ve said on the swimsuit post above this one, it’s hard to find styles that are universally liked, and no matter what we post, there’s always someone who hates it. I guess this is one of the joys of fashion – everyone’s taste is different!
