Tell us: how excited are you about the new Batman movie? Not excited at all? Excited enough to go and see it, but no more? Excited enough to see it and maybe buy some movie merchandise? Or excited enough to want to cover your entire body in bat logos, maybe?
Presumably there are at least some of you out there who fall into that last category. Why else would ordinary fashion retails suddenly be starting to produce clothing with a bat design, after all? The t-shirt on the left of the picture above is £18 from Topshop while the dress on the right is on sale (?) for £20 at Discoo.
To us, these look like the dreaded "novelty" clothes, so these pictures would actually have made a pretty tough "Wear or Die" choice for us, but what do you think of the sudden trickle of batman-influenced clothing into our beloved fashion stores? Are you a big bat fan, or do these just look like a joke(r) to you? (Sorry.)

I’d wear Batman related clothing – just not either of these options, as they are both fugly. (Whatever happened to the basic tee with just one logo on the front?)
I kind of like the shirt, IF you’re young enough to wear it of course (which means < 25). That dress is the most hideous thing I’ve seen all day though!
I agree with Daisy– the shirt would be really cute on most girls under 25 (yay!) and a much better way to dress up for the midnight showing… too bad there’s no time to get it!
The yellow T-shirt is actually kind of cute – the bats make an interesting repeat pattern… But, I still wouldn’t wear it! (I’m (*sob*) over 25…)
Umm, no. I would think the age cut-off would be 16.
I actually really like the shirt. I don’t think it looks like Batman at all, the image is very different. I just think it looks l like a neat shirt is all.
I don’t really like the shirt; the repeated pattern scares me. Looking from far away, I think it looks like a giant mutated bee stripe pattern. Emphasis on mutated. :/
I AM terribly excited for The Dark Knight, though.
You could get away with the bat shirt where I live (Austin, TX) as the bat is our city symbol and there’s a fondness for them here. People may not even connect it to the movie. Yellow looks terrible on me though.
Well, the yellow one wouldn’t be so bad if it was pared with a girly pink-and-lace type of tank top and a pair of overdyed jeans. It could be sarcastic, contrasting. You know, provide some interest.
I love the shirt
But I’m a T shirt addict so pretty much anything that isn’t completely hideous looks awesome to me!
I loved the first – I’ll probably cry when I see Heath though
Bet he’s an amazing Joker.
Dress is blah – and barely covering that girl’s arse.
Can’t wait for the new film
Oh God.
So this is quite late in posting (considering it’s 2009 now!) But I was browsing around the archives and I have to say, I really like that dress. Though, and I don’t know why no one else here has thought of this, I wouldn’t wear it as a dress. Over a pair of jeans I think it would be awesome!
Eh, seems a little “kiddie” to me!
I’ve seen it on alot of “emo” fashions though, so if you’re into that I guess it’s ok.
It’s not the worst thing i’ve ever seen, but I probably won’t be wearing it, I loved the movie but for some reason I have a thing about stating what I like via clothing. (i.e. band tees, movie tees and stuff like that. Oh, brand names don’t count of course.) It’s not something I like to do and I don’t even know why.
YES! the dress is wierd though, I’d just add the shirt to my batman things (one shirt so far-.-)
