Comments closed on this one, because apparently people who like to wear socks with flip flops also like to verbally abuse anyone who doesn’t have exactly the same taste as them, and will post under numerous different names in order to do this. Says it all, really

So this is the latest ‘outrage’ I guess. who cares about socks and flip flops. people have been wearing socks and flip flops for decades without the masses rising in revolt. i am a woman and i wear them after i have done yardwork or cleaned out the car or gotta go to the store. just like it that’s all. you don’t have to like it. there are plenty of things that i don’t like, but an opinion is not required for everything (at least not out loud). consider this comment; i probably should have kept it to myself! heh heh! even my kids, who are practically adults now have been caught in this dreaded fashion faux pas, and they still have friends! who knew! Peace.

i wear socks and flip flops every single day, and for me it is quite comfortable. not only sock and flip flops, but mismatched socks and flip flops. i love it and i don’t know why you all are so against it.

How about BLACK flip flops with OPAQUE NAVY tights? Not footless tights, REGULAR tights. I believe the woman committing this crime was wearing a red floral print dress as well, but I can’t really be sure because of the flip flop shock. :[

I have never understood this – why wear flip-flops, traditionally worn in hot weather to keep one’s feet cool, if you are going to wear heavy tube socks underneath? I first saw this trend in Albany, N.Y., over ten years ago, and it was horrifying. I had forgotten about it until I saw this photo:)
