		<description>I have never understood this - why wear flip-flops, traditionally worn in hot weather to keep one&#039;s feet cool, if you are going to wear heavy tube socks underneath?  I first saw this trend in Albany, N.Y., over ten years ago, and it was horrifying.  I had forgotten about it until I saw this photo:)

		<description>I only wear socks with tabi (the japanese term for socks made for sandals) when I&#039;m in Japan...their culture thinks of feet like we think of boobs, and covering them means modesty.  Other than that, EEW.
