There’s a temptation to look at a dress like this one from Principles and think "boring", but when we resisted that impulse and zoomed in on the beautiful bardot neckline, we actually found ourselves thinking "Gimme!" instead.
A dress like this may not stop the traffic, but it could just end up being one of the most useful pieces you’ll own: wear it to work, wear it out for the evening, wear it to weddings, christenings, you name it. Just change the belt and add some different accessories when you feel like mixing things up a little, et voila, every "black dress" occasion is sorted for the next couple of years at least…

I love it!
I really like this and it didn’t look boring at all to me!
I loove the neckline!!!!
I love the vintagey feel of this dress and also didn’t find it boring at all – I’m even considering using this as a charming prom dress. But since I can’t find it anywhere near where I live, I’ll ask my talented grandma to sew one for me. I can’t tell from the picture, though, which fabric it is made of. Do you have any remote idea? I know the Police are able to spot the most terrible fashion crimes – now let’s see if they are able to solve the most intricate fashion mysteries too.
