Today we’re venturing away from the world of Ugly Prom Dresses in particular and taking a quick stroll through the land of Ugly Formal Wear in general. Now, we realise that this dress was probably designed with the, ahem, "more mature" lady in mind (even although the model doesn’t look particularly "mature"), but it’s our contention that no one needs to dress like this, no matter what their age. Why so Crystal Carrington, we wonder? Won’t Linda Evans be pissed when she finds out someone raided her wardrobe?
It looks like something Vana White used to wear. (giggle)
Oh gosh, I would have simply ADORED this worn ironically to my prom. It is so…cliched in every way. Do it up with the severe hair and solid gold pumps and blue eyeshadow with clumpy mascara…wreaking, of course, of Aqua Net.
Speaking of which, I was on a weekend vacation and there happened to be a prom being held at the hotel we were staying at…what is that SMELL?!? It smelled like B.O and Hairspray and cheap perfume, only really REALLY strong. I don’t remember my prom stinking in the literal sense…If I never see an up-do again, it’ll be too soon.
I actually kind of like it…Or I would, if the sleeves and dress were shorter. Kind of…space-age-ish?
I grew up in Dallas in the 80s/90s, therefore I refuse to see what’s so wrong about this. Except for the hair – not big enough. Good call on the Aqua Net, gokarm.
