Ugly Prom Dress of the Day: Xtremely Xciting

Ugly_prom_dress

A useful rule of thumb The Fashion Police use when ID-ing ugly dresses is that if the brand name of the dress involves a regular word spelt in a "wacky" way, usually involving the letter X, "classy" is not normally something we can expect from the clothes themselves. This doesn’t hold true for all wackily named brands, of course, but it did hold true for this dress, which comes from a brand called "Xtreme" – that’s "extreme", but with an x. Do you see what they did there.

Names aside, this dress comes in a lime green colour (flattering on all complexions!) and is a classic example of the "mullet dress", with one side long, one side super-short. Excellent. They even threw in a "look at my belly!" cutout, too! $180 and its yours, folks…

And they say money can’t buy you happiness:D

  2. Han says:

What’s really bizarre is the “Xtreme Size Chart”. I’d prefer not to have my dress size called ‘Xtreme’!

  3. PFK says:

It looks like the model has a shaved head; that really helps the look.

  4. Lazagna says:

Designer: Oh wait, you say its a PROM dress I’m supposed to be designing? Oh crap, well I already had this one finished! I know, I’ll just tack this chuck of fabric around the hips, nobody will notice it was a last minute alteration and I didn’t even have enough material left…”
