What’s the difference between the two dresses shown above? Well, "About a tenner" is the only answer we can come up with going by the pictures alone, because while Topshop’s stripe jersey dress. on the left, is £35, Principles have decided to add an extra £10 to their black and white stripe dress on the right, which is £45.
Of course, there is the small matter of colour. Topshop’s stripes are navy while Principles are black. Can we assume that black fabric dye is £10 more expensive than the navy stuff, do you think?
I’d easy pay a tenner more for the Principles one as I think their clothes are way better quality. The past few garments I’ve bought out of Topshop have lasted about 3 washes!! Total waste of money.
