Style on Trial: shutter shades, Kanye West style
They’re good enough for Kanye West, but are they good enough for you, oh Fashion Police readers? They’re called Shutter Shades, and they’re currently available at ASOS, where you can pick up a pair in pink, red, blue or black for just £12.
Personally, we think we’d end up with a migraine within a few minutes of squinting through these, but of course, we haven’t actually tried them, so we may be completely wrong about that. What we know for sure, though, is that you won’t be seeing the Force out and about in these anytime soon – we’re convinced they’d hinder us in the act of apprehending Fashion Criminals, and we also suspect that they might force us to arrest ourselves, too.
What do you think? Crime of Fashion or just a whole lotta fun?
I saw these “little beauties” yesterday and was considering reporting them as criminal accessories, however you guys are really clued up. They look like something that should belong in a RnB music video and ONLY belong in a RnB music video…
Do they come with a warning… “Do not attempt to drive a vehicle whilst wearing these shades”?

NO. GOD. I hate these! I saw someone on campus wearing these. Despite the fact that they look completely ridiculous, doesn’t anyone realize that light waves really aren’t that big, so wearing these are even worse for your eyes? You might as well wear those fake nerd glasses and pretend you’re smart.
God, the 80s really are back. Of course, back then, these used to come in lime green, hot pink, and all the other awful 80s neon colors. I probably still have a pair in some box of forgotten horrors in the basement. Maybe I should sell them on eBay as “vintage” shutter shades.

i’ve seen a couple people with them and yea they look ridiculous!
i tried on a pair in a store and iunno how they do it …i couldn’t see a thing it was so uncomfortable . they only look good when there not on someone.(Y)
