Fashion Police arrest teen for prom dress related crimes: a warning to us all…

Prom_dress_arrest So, you thought your ugly prom dress couldn’t actually get you arrested? Think again folks…

Marche Taylor, on the left of the picture, also thought her skimpy prom dress couldn’t get her into trouble – until she was refused admission to her prom because of it.

"It was revealing in such a way that it would not be appropriate for a prom," said the principle of Marche’s high school, in Houston, Texas. Marche, however, disagreed, and the ensuing fracas resulted in the police being called and the teen fashion criminal being led away in cuffs. Which just goes to show you: it’s not just The Fashion Police you have to worry about when it comes to dressing for prom.

"I actually like the dress. Everybody else likes my dress," insisted Marche, yesterday. Well, everyone: do you?

(Thanks to Michelle and Julie for the report!)

Told ya. Hoochie dresses get you told that you can’t go in.
That said, at least she has the physique for it. I sincerely hope there’s some tit tape going on though, dance in that without it and your business is going to be on display.

  2. Cadi says:

Oh dear…I just looked again, and it looks like it has a short hemline. Nobody told this lass about the “Mams OR Gams” rule!

  3. Arielle says:

I think it’s an ugly dress.
I also think the principal of the school was correct to deny her access. It’s the prom, not a 18+ club.

  4. gokarm says:

God, i just can’t wait for prom season to be over. I practically had to be dragged kicking and screaming to my own prom and it was every bit as lame as I expected it to be.

  5. Han says:

Well, it was good of the principal to put his foot down, but I suspect there were probably plenty of other girls there dressed just as sluttily as she was, though perhaps not as *obviously*.

  6. amelia says:

Live and let live, I say. But still, you gotta chuckle at this one… The chances are she won’t have the figure for it in a few years time, so she might as well go for it!

  7. Cait says:

That’s not a dress. Is it???

  8. Numan says:

Inappropriate for school. I wonder what her parents have to say on the matter.

  10. Em says:

That’s not a dress. It’s a skirt with a matching scarf. Good heavens, that’s skanky.

  11. Danielle says:

I’ve seen hula dancers wear more! At least she’s got the body for it, but I wonder what she’ll think in 20 years?

  12. peachfish says:

That in no way meets the definition of “dress” – it’s a miniskirt and a hair ribbon AND it makes her look like a transvestite.

  13. Jessics says:

ewwww skanky….nasty even…..if i was her mother i would even let her out of her room

  14. shannon says:

she should have more respect for herself its ok to be sexy but that was taking it way too far ! ….leave some to the imagination

  15. Lulu says:

Hey, but at least she covered her eyes up with sunglasses, at a prom… She’s all class

  16. lisa says:

    OMGsh *barfs in cereal bowl*

  17. fashion says:

Its plain to see that she’s the one who sewed that peice of garbage. That thing doesn’t even look cute to wear in the house little alone wear it to prom. There’s so much dresses out there and so much dressmakers, why couldn’t she be smart and look normal. So ghetto, she’s making us black folks look bad!

  18. laura says:

I could have sworn that was a guy on the left.

  19. Chelsie says:

By “everyone”, I’m willing to bet that she meant all the high school boys who were hoping to get a showing, if you know what I mean.
