Style on Trial: Christina Ricci at the Met Costume Institute Gala

Christina_ricci

We’ve thought about this long and hard, and we think that of all the stars at Monday night’s Met Costume Institute Gala, Christina Ricci wins the silver star for the best interpretation of the theme in this Wonder Woman-esque dress by Givenchy. Not only is this fabulous for her figure, it also manages to evoke the "superheroes" theme pretty well – which is more than we can say for most. That said, it’s a very "love it or loathe it" kind of gown, so what do you think: was Christina the Best Dressed at the Met?

i LOVE this dress but she definitely wouldn’t have gotten away with it at any other event. christina ricci has always been a style icon of mine, plus she’s also physically and aesthetically perfect. but i’m sure that must mean she’s a total cow. i’m not jealous at all.

  2. It looks like she’s either on her way to or on her way back from a swim in an Esther Williams re-make.

  3. Kiesha says:

Gorgeous dress, absolutely the best dressed that evening.

  4. Diana says:

She looks really great, and the dress is ok for me, but the one I liked the most is Kate Moss dress.

  5. CP says:

Absolutely 100% the best. No question.

  6. gokarm says:

Absolutely 100% the best. No question.

  7. Kerry says:

It is a slightly unusual dress but it complements her perfectly and she looks great!
