Fashion Trends: Ray Ban Wayfarers

Wayfarers

They were acceptable in the 80s, and actually, if the current spate of celebrity fans is anything to go by, it would seem that Ray Bans famous Wayfarer sunglasses are still acceptable now.

White seems to be the celebrity colour of choice (although Sienna Miller might beg to differ), but neon brights have also been popular, thanks to the current love of all things neon (not to mention all things Agyness Deyn), so the choice is yours. A real pair of Wayfarers will set you back something in the region of $129, but there are dozens of cheaper copies around too if you're prepared to go with a lookie-likey pair.

What do you think of this trend, then? (If something that's been around for so long can even be described that way?) Do Wayfarers get the thumbs up or down from The Fashion Police massive?

(L-R: Mary-Kate Olsen, Drew Barrymore, Kate Moss. All sunglasses from Amazon)

I like them on Moss, cause I think she has the right shape of face for it, but otherwise not the most flatering sunglasses.. so my thumb's stuck in the middle..

Don´t like them, to 80s for me

I own a white pair that looks exactly like the original. They were only $6 dollars, and they're the sunglasses I wear the most because they're so versatile.

Love them. I'd buy them in plain black though.

I've got a white pair from Lady Luck Rules. I love them.

They're fabulous, I have authentic Ray-Ban Wayfarers in black and just got a pair of red ones the other day. Love 'em.
