New Zealand Olympic team forced to wear Crocs

Crocs Pity the poor New Zealand Olympic team, folks, because on what should be one of the happiest and proudest occasions of their lives – the Beijing Olympics – these fine athletes will be forced to dress like Fashion Criminals, in Crocs.

Yes, the athletes have been informed that the plastic footwear will be part of their official uniform at the games, with women forced to wear ‘Alice’ Crocs while their male counterparts slip their feet into the ‘Beach’ shoes.

Olympic chef de mission Dave Currie said the shoes would be "very stylish". Has he actually seen them, we wonder?

While I generally despice Crocs, the ‘Alice’ style is somewhat cute. I wouldn’t hate wearing them.

The Alice style isn’t BAD it’s just that terrible taste that stays in my mouth when I think of Crocs. Those poor men, though, they have to wear the originals!

Crocs rate high up there with UG boots… UGLY… and there’s nothing cute about them.

Yes, in New Zealand, Crocs actually are stylish. Don’t believe what you saw in LOTR behind the scenes folks… The Kiwi Look is about dirty bare feet, GLH, and sun damage! My friends back home all look 15 years older than me.

What kind of kiwi are you SayItAin’tJo (ref to previous comment!). Such a generalised and untrue comment. I am also an expat, but love my country and yes crocs are embarrasingly ugly and NOT all kiwis wear them!
