Helmut Lang’s zip-up shirt could be yours for $280

Shirt Ending today, and priced at $280 at the time of writing, this Helmut Lang shirt has already attracted 20 bids on eBay.

Our question: WHY?

I mean, we’re saying "shirt" because that’s how the seller has described it, but this looks more like some kind of pony harness to us. And true, there are probably a hundred and one ways to wear such an item, if you have the imagination to work out what they are, but even assuming that it is, in fact, the most useful item of clothing you’ll ever own, we’re still seeing a few pieces of material strung together, which makes our next question:

$280? REALLY?

Your thoughts on this issue are welcomed…

This post took me a while to process… somebody (who is obviously a fashion idiot) is buying what looks like a couple of pairs of braces that have been tied together. Not only are they buying that fugly “shirt” but paying $280!!! Just because there is a designer’s name on the tag (whereever it may be on the disgusting article) it doesn’t mean it should be worn.

For a second I thought there was some kind of see through fabric in between the shreds of black fabric…my my, 280 for something my nephew can make me

$355 final selling price. Plus $10 postage cost. Rip off is inadequate to describe this!
