Faded denim makes a comeback

Pale_denim

The return of washed-out denim to the stores (and, indeed, to our homes) isn’t exactly a new thing…. bleached jeans have been fighting their way back for some time now, and we’re going to guess that more than a few of us already have a pair tucked away somewhere, although they’re probably faded by time, rather than by design.

Faded denim is a bit of a 90s look, but of course, so are floral mini dresses, and we’ve been seeing a lot of them around too, which makes us feel a little like it’s the summer of ‘94, all over again. Do you want to go back to the 90s, though? We’re not sure we do. While old jeans that have faded all by themselves can look – and feel – absolutely fantastic, we’re not so sold on pre-bleached ones, like the Raven denim jeans on the right of the picture above (the other pair are by GoldSign), mostly because we spend far too much time trying to stop our jeans from fading to want to buy ones that are almost white with bleach.

That said, faded denim can be a great, summery look, and works well with the ubiquitous florals. What do you think of it?
