Judging by the number of times their clothes have been taken into Fashion Police custody, you could be forgiven for thinking that Comme des Garcons aren’t exactly our favourite designers. You’d be right about that. So, while the rest of the fashion community almost wets itself with excitement at the news that Rei Kawakubo is to create a capsule collection for H&M, our knickers are – thankfully – still dry.

That’s not to say we’re not intrigued by this news, of course. How will H&M shoppers take to the avant garde creations CDG is so famous for, we wonder? Will Kawakubo tone things down a little for her foray into the high street, or will people soon be walking around in the "fake front" dresses pictured, or those uncomfortable looking low-crotch legging things Comme des Garcons used in their A/W 08 show?

We can’t wait to find out.
