I believe that it takes someone without a hint of self doubt to pull it off. I strongly disagree that it is a foolish piece, instead I agree with net-a-porter in saying that it is a piece to be handed down amongst family, or to be admired in the future. Though the price tag is hefty, I would love to be able to wear this dress anyday! I think that this dress is bold, sexy and defiant. Since historians (at least in Sweden) dress a little scruffy and have few/none glamorous occasion to dress up for I wouldn't have much use for it either.
