Fashion Police Love/Hate

Lovehate It’s Friday, so before you log off for the weekend, let’s tale a look at all of the things your faithful Fashion Police have been loving and loathing this week…

Loving:

* Navy. On everything. Sweaters, dresses, cardigans, skirts, outerwear.  It gives a nod towards nautical, but it’s not too twee. Love you, navy!

* Trench Coats. Sometimes it’s hard being in The Fashion Police, because we start lusting after the things we write about. Trenches are great transitional pieces, so good to have in stock just in case winter ever ends.

* Silk scarves in spring colours. They look great with the trench coats. And with everything else…

* Bright red lipstick. Yes, we’re having a Gwen Stefani moment. Well, can you blame us?

Hating:

* Shops full of summer clothes, when it’s still snowing outside. No, we can’t wait for summer either, but we can’t even contemplate summer dresses and flip flops when we’re still wearing our thermals, and will be for another few weeks at least.

* Fashion Week. Can we say "burnout"?

* Celebrity ‘Fashion’ designers. Avril Lavigne for Kohls? *Yawn*

* Uggs worn with tracksuits. When will people learn that this is a onep-way ticket to "Looking-Like-Britney-Spears-ville?

What have you been loving and hating this week?

Loving: my new red patent wedges (might sound scary, but the heel isnt too high so looks just right..), definetly the trenches, cant wait to finally be able to wear one outside the house!!, a black silky corset (hoping it will look great with some darker skinny jeans..)
Hating: nailpolish that chips off straight away, grrr. Over crowded shop (so totally loses the lovely appeal of shopping:().

LOVING my 3/4 length arm, puff shouldered trench coat from H&M with vintage silk scarves given to me by my boyfriend.

Always loving red lipstick – I don’t wear it as often as I should for someone who loves retro fashion, but now that my lipstick-hating ex is gone, it’s coming back out of the drawer!
I have always loved trenchcoats, but can never afford one, and I’m just starting to love navy after finally shaking off my days of wearing it at school.
I’m also loving my Sailor Jerry Converse with pin-up girl motifs on the sides, anything polkadot, my 3/4 length sleeved tuxedo jacket and my new grey shift dress which hugs all the right places.
I have a small collection of flimsy but beautiful sundresses but I too am waiting for the weather to start behaving itself. I’m the kind of person who could freeze to death in a volcano.
And I hate Ugg boots, forever and always (unless worn in the comfort of your own home), and skinny jeans – I love them on other people, but they are mocking me and my thighs, and they must die. And I still can’t cope with leggings – does no-one else remember the 80s and cry? Just because people are wearing them ironically, doesn’t make them any less awful.

I’m still loving black skinny jeans, red lipstick, patent leather accessories and elbow-length gloves worn with 3/4 sleeve jackets.
I hate floral patterns, star print and horizontal stripes.

    Love:
    wide legged jeans
    stripy t.shirts
    scarves
    hairbands
    Hate:
    skinny jeans
    puffball skirts
    dresses
    shellsuits
    frills and anything really girly.
