Call us philistines if you must, but we just don't get Dries Van Noten. Like, AT ALL. To us, almost everything in the collection looks like resort wear for the elderly: case in point, this floral pants and top combo at Browns.
Now, granted, Dries Van Noten may not have intended these two pieces to be put together - that may be all down to Brown's dresser. But given that this is a man who has never shied away from throwing lots of clashing colours and prints together on the same garment, never mind the same model, we somehow don't think he'd object.
Still, at least it probably makes a lot of elderly people very, very happy...

I saw those pants on “the Sartorialist” a little while back worn by a man with a black tunic/scrubs looking top. I think it looked incredible. Link…

But yes, Dries is not my cup of tea either. I’m not much into florals as a rule.
The trousers definitely look a lot better when they’re the right length and worn with a plain top – mind you, I don’t think I’d like the top in this picture with anything!
