Sienna Miller’s Twenty8Twelve makes jeans that zip up the back

siennamillerjeans Sienna Millers Twenty8Twelve makes jeans that zip up the back

From the front, just an ordinary, innocuous pair of grey skinny jeans. From the back, a crime of fashion that involves running zips from the ankle to just underneath the butt. Such is the sordid double life of these jeans by Sienna and Savannah Miller’s fashion label, Twenty8Twelve. They’ve just been reduced by almost £100 at ASOS.com – we can’t think why – so if you want to be able to unzip your jeans all the way up to your butt, go for your life. (And then run for your life because The Fashion Police will be after you…)

  1. These zippers are ugly – functional or not. Worse if they are not of any use, even as decoration as Amy pointed out. And they do unzip on the picture over the shoes – so do they open all the way?
As for jeans pockets – I actually use mine, even if you can’t put much in them. And would not buy jeans with mock pockets.
I wonder if the zipper jeans are lined, or if you have the cold metal of the zipper touching the legs? Or can you imagine the zipper unzipping while you’re unaware? And having to try to close it if the jeans are too tight? Ouch.

  3. Can you imagine sitting on zippers? Those are skinny jeans, so the zippers are bound to catch on your skin no matter what. Ouch!

  4. I understand the return of the zipper jean was inevitable, much like the apocalypse, but surely it is a sign of the times when before you needed the zipper to fit your feet into the pants to now when you need to unzipper in order to fit in the entire leg.

  5. Those are gorgeous. I can’t wait to get a pair. I love skinny jeans, and I love sexiness that is more about attitude then exposing the skin. I guess you guys are more about playing it safe. there is nothing wrong with that. Follow your little fashion rules and what not to do gospel while i look incredible and have fun.

  6. Of course they are lined. Duh. I can’t help but laugh at the people who go on about how “uncomfortable” new styles are. Besides; Pants like that are better on the dance floor then sitting on your behind.

  7. Martine /Marissa – posting two comments under different names to agree with yourself is pretty sad, to be honest – especially when you use the same email address for both of them. I mean, for goodness sake, does the fact that a complete stranger on the interent doesn’t like a pair of jeans really matter that much to you? Try and lighten up and stop worrying so much about what complete strangers think about trivial things like jeans: you must be very insecure about yourself if the fact that someone you’ve never met has different taste to you makes you want to pretend to be a bunch of different people so you can put them down. Either that or you’re 12 years old.
