Dress of the Day: Sexy Sailor dress by Stop Staring

Sailordress Given that fashion is having such a nautical moment right now, we thought it was only fair to give this ‘Sexy Sailor’ dress from Stop Staring its moment as Dress of the Day.

Some of you will find this dress a little too nautical to be nice – it has something of a cartoon sailor look to it, and that won’t appeal to everyone, but we love the retro feel, the fitted shape and the cute little kick pleats along the bottom.

It’s $141,95 and -  God bless them – available to ship internationally.

I kind of love it but…it also has a touch of a “donald duck in drag” feel to it so…that ruins it for me lol.

I love everything Stop Staring have ever made – unfortunately, I’m a poor poor student and can never afford to do anything but drool. Fashion, thou art a cruel mistress…

  3. Julie says:

    That’s funny.
An almost-identical dress here is eighty bucks. Amazing what a few buttons and a plastic buckle will do to the price of a dress.

  4. Gokarm – I know what you mean, it does have a bit of a Donald Duck feel to it :)
Steph – me too, me too. I actually kind of wish I hadn’t found out they ship internationally…
    Julie – good find!

  5. Norlyn says:

I actually like the cheaper version of the dress better. I think the black and pink makes the dress less cartoonish and more feminine.

  6. Amy says:

i think this dress is terrible! the top half is ok… i think the whole nautical theme is just being too overdone now.
