Hmm.. I have a bit of a unique view on feminine fashion (not sure I’m allowed to say), but perhaps if there was a little more to the shoe, perhaps even just a simple high heel, or at the very least sandalfoot type stockings (which is.. Sort of the point of those, yes), I tend to actually like the look myself.

Also, as for the whole tights/stockings underneath jeans/trousers idea.. For one it is an extra layer and can help you keep a little more warm in colder months. Two.. Well, if you’re like me and prefer the feel of silky stockings compared to denim then it works nicely. Also, the smoothness tends to let the jeans slide a little better (especially skinnies) so not only are they easier to put on, but they don’t tend to bunch slightly around your joints due to friction on your skin and itself.

That.. And nylon covered feet are about the only time I actually like the appearance of feet..

I don’t like black tights, or any tights with this skimpy of a sandal. However, if the sandal has a bit more to it, then it’s fine! I wear sandals & black tights frequently and it looks good…and guys think it looks great!

I agree with the ladies that are wearing hosiery , I love the look whether it is under jeans, slacks strappy heels open toe sandals or heels , women look better in nylon hosiery of any style . I really like the reinforced toes also.

Well, ‘fashion’ aside, I think most women would be amazed at how many guys think that wearing sheer hosiery with strappy, yes strappy sandals is the height of sexiness …
I think it’s the women amongst us (i.e. most of us) who think we look better without hosiery who are the real fashion victims – I think women look classier, more feminine and sexier wearing and showing off their hosiery than not and I know for sure that most guys agree …

As a middle aged woman ive worn tights most of my life.I actually like wearing sheer tights. I look better with them than without.Ive only bought 10-15 denier black or barelyblack tights the last decade or so.I always like to wear, that includes under jeans and trousers too.I dont feel properly dressed without tights. Am i the only one left these days?

But sheer tights with strappy sandals?
nothing wrong, it’s just fashion. In the 40s, 50s and 60s it was stockings, with reinforced toes, with sandals.

Miss Britt – it’s a very good question, and I have no idea what the answer is.
I think perhaps the people who do it want to look like their feet are bare, but also want to keep them warm? Then again, given that it’s most often done with the type of “nude” tights that DON’T actually make your feet look bare, maybe not…
