Could you recommend some comfy+stylish shoes then? I have size 9 feet with wide toes and bad ankles and it’s really difficult to find shoes that fit well and look nice. I can’t wear heels because they hurt me, but apparently (in Malaysia anyway) if you’re larger than a very narrow size 7 you’re a guy.

…actually, I really like these. Uggs are quite possibly the ugliest shoes known to mankind, but these I would wear. Especially the orange ones.

You’re completely missing the point, which is that there are plenty of shoes out there which are comfortable AND stylish. The choice is not beautiful-but-uncomfortable OR ugly-but-comfy: it’s really not that hard to find comfortable shoes that don’t make you look like a clown. For some reason, though, there are an awful lot of people out there who seem to be labouring under the impression that if they want to be comfortable then they MUST wear ugly shoes, and this is just not true.
And I have no idea what a UWP crew is, but if they love their Crocs, well, good for them

The better question to ask is why the fashion industry insists on pushing supposedly attractive shoes to us that are really a pain (literally) and can be harmful to your body, while more sensible choices comfort- and health-wise are villified as “but they’re UGLY!!!!!”? So what if they’re ugly! At least I’m not going to have back issues!
(though while Uggs are comfy as heck, I must have bought a dud pair, because I still have feet issues. They’re not very useful for walking longer than 5 minutes; my feet hurt after a while. If I could afford them, I’ll definitely get Crocs – they remind me of my UWP crew, who wore them ALL THE TIME in 2005, and I need a proper utility shoe that won’t break down like my other 3 did.)
