At this point we’re not even sure whether The Oscars will even happen this year or not (and even if they do, The Fashion Police’s invitation seems to have been mysetriously lost in the post – AGAIN), so, just in case we don’t get the opportunity to oggle the celebrities in their fancy frocks, we’ve decided to throw caution to the winds and dress them up ourselves. It may be the cloest thing we get to an Oscar fashion parade, folks, so if you have any suggestions for a star you’d like to style, please feel free to drop us a comment with your suggested outfit.

First up is pregnant Nicole Kidman, who we’ve chosen to dress in this diaphanous green creation from Versace’s Spring/Summer 08 collection. We know Nicole likes to keep things pale and interesting (although last year she did surprise us with a bright red dress), and this will continue that ethereal, paler-than-pale look she’s been going for lately, as well as covering up the beginnings of her baby bump – not, of course, that we’ve seen any evidence of one yet. You’d have to be either a) pregnant or b) as naturally tall and willowy as Nicole anyway to be able to get away with this kind of loose shape…
