Lucy Liu’s Marshmallow Moment

Lucyliu

Anyone feeling a bit peckish after looking at this photo? Actually, I think I’m going to have to pass on the "peckish" bit, because although the strange pink cape Lucy Liu wore to the Valentino show last night has been described by most commentators as "marshmallow like" today, for me, it looks more like one of those creepy pink fishy things that live in the sea and have giant tentacles hidden away under the floaty pinkness. All the better to kill you with, I guess.

Other than that, I quite like it. Your thoughts?

What the hell? I’m sorry, but Lucy Lui is a petite pretty thing and this, what can only be described as Popeye-esque, cape is drowning her. That purple looks awesome – she should have just settled for a little bolero and saved herself from a “mashmallow moment”.

Maybe I’m going to make a complete ass of myself right now, but I love it! The color blends beautifully with the purple dress, and it’s very avante garde and striking…which is how you want to look at a fashion show. But I like aquatic elements, so maybe I’m biased.

That reminds me of a high-fashion version of this: http://www.iliketotallyloveit.com/toys/tentacle-arm-1/
