We love Ellen Page. Love her. She was fabulous in Juno and she’s just as cute as a little, shiny button. Seriously, isn’t she as cute as a button? This dress, though? Not so much. This is by Zac Posen, and while there’s nothing actually wrong with it, it just looks way too staid for one as young and fresh as our Ellen here, who’s ended up looking like a kid going somewhere "posh" for the first time, who ended up having to raid her mother’s wardrobe. This is a crying shame, we think. Give Ellen something young and pretty to wear, stylists, not something Angelina Jolie would have been happy to throw on, had she not been having her murky brown moment, instead.
are you joking? I think this is understated and quite cute. Like you said, there’s nothing wrong with the dress. So who cares if she didn’t wear something “younger”? Maybe this is her style.
I agree with the fashion police. The dress is nice enough, but it would have been nice to see her in something a bit more interesting. I don’t think she looks comfortable in this.
At least she’s not as typical and boring as some blonde haired, glittery golden floorlength gown wearing types like Brittany Snow. Just because it’s understated doesn’t mean it’s not interesting.
I think the dress is nice for her but too simple though for this event..
It’s just the whole look is slumped. Her hair is limp and unkempt, her posture is slouched, the dress on her looks plain and just sort of sleepy. I like her shoes. Overall, I think she would have done better to take some fashion advice from Juno and funkify her look a little.
