Style on Trial: Coloured Flares

Flaredjeans

Brightly coloured skinny jeans were everywhere last summer, with red being the predominant colour, and now it looks like the trend is being reprised for 2008, with flared jeans being the next style of denim to undergo a colour makeover. These ones are Ditto’s Classic Flare Jeans, which are £175 at ASOS, but what do you think of them?

Personally, I loved the bright-red-skinnies look, and I’m still liking the bright colours as applied to flares, although I like the look on the right, with the pussy bow blouse, better than the one on the left – that denim waistcoat is just a little bit too Status Quo for me. One thing I’m sure of, though, is that I love the big hat! Your thoughts?

I really like them and would wear them if I had a bod like the model. She looks amazing.

  2. Jules says:

Defenitly! the hat is great, saw one at La Redoute, gonna buy it for sure. Have no clue where to wear it though, Austria is so boring stylewise…
And by the way, love your blog

I have a pair of burgundy flares with beading on the bottom of the leg that look quite nice. I think darker colours like that could go quite well.

I absolutely adore the second outfit. That is how I would dress everyday if I had the confidence and legs for it. Some USA sites are selling them in dark colours which I think might be more wearable for non-models.

    I love them.
I have a pair of red flares which I wear all the time. Would love to have a dark purple pair.
