Get this, I went to the Abercrombie store in London on Wednesday and saw a beautiful tote bag and it was 78 pounds! There was no way I was going to spend about $160 on a tote bag. I got back to Canada yesterday and on the Canadian website the bag is $48! That's a huge difference.

I actually like A&F for the same reason, though I know it's shameful. Their jeans are the ONLY ones that fit my nonexistent hips and butt.
The double pricing, that just sucks. A&F costs enough without the prices being double, especially because teenagers are their main customers.

Considering that one quid literally equals two dollars, it's not unreasonable. It used to cost UK customers half what it cost American customers, considering the conversion rate, and it now costs the same amount, dollar for dollar.
It's no different than if the American dollar were twice the price of the GBP, and we were ordering from Topman until they blocked us and charged American dollar prices instead of the GBP prices. Same thing.
But I understand the frustration. A&F is an expensive luxury brand, and $80 jeans hurt my pocketbook as much as 80 quid jeans hurt yours :)

I'm in the UK & somehow managed to order a couple of items from the US site at a cost of around $95 including shipping. I then got an email to say that my order was cancelled. I asked why & then they said it was cancelled by mistake. I waited a week before checked my account & it was still cancelled. I asked them if they could sort it out which they did but charged me the UK prices & not the US site ones which I had ordered from originally. I emailed to cancel but they had already sent one item but cancelled the other with no explanation as to why they had decided to charge my card with UK prices. No apology or refund either.I won't be using them again which is a shame as they do do nice stuff.

You're not taking into the account the difference in the cost of living in the US and UK. $60 will buy you as much in the US as 60 quid (no pound sign on yank keyboards) will in the UK - you can't simply perform a currency conversion and expect that to make any sense. That's not how the exchange rate works.
They're not charging double - they're charging the same but the extremely weak dollar (it's about 2 for 1 with the pound) makes it seem otherwise.

Oh that is a pile of crap. Yes shipping is high nowadays, but it's not THAT high.
I don't buy Abercrombie, personally. I find better quality and fit in clothes from companies like Lucky and such, and they're made in the US under good conditions.
