Handbags are one of the fashion items I always think it’s worth spending money on, because a good handbag will last for years, be your constant companion, and, if it’s made of leather, just get better looking the older it gets, a bit like Harrison Ford. (Whoops, did I say that out loud?) For these reasons, this £15 pleather satchel from Miss Selfridge wouldn’t normally cross my radar, but it did, and now that it has, I find myself strangely drawn to it. The style is all "college schoolgirl", and it looks like it’s just desperate to be worn with a long, narrow scarf and duffel coat, a la Ali McGraw in Lovestory. I’d have to see it in person to assess the quality, but for now I’m liking its style…
