American Apparel’s French Advertising Campaign is Not Safe For Work

Americanapparel Lookit this cheeky little American Apparel model. She looks almost like she’s thinking about doing something a little bit naughty, doesn’t she? And that’s because she is!

You’re going to have to look behind the jump if you want to see just what it is, and you’re going to have to promise not to blame us if your boss catches you looking, but hey folks, this is fashion! Or… actually, come to think of it, maybe it’s just a pair of naked boobs being used in a tawdry attempt to sell clothes. You decide.

Boobs

Now, we at The Fashion Police are not naive, nor are we particularly offended by the site of someone’s mammaries, and, to be honest, it was really only a matter of time before American Apparel hit on the idea of forgetting about the clothes completely, and just photographing their models in the altogether. It’s what they’ve clearly been longing to do for a while, isn’t it?

Our point then? Well, other than the fact that it’s tacky, vulgar and exploitative: CAMEL TOE. It’s the camel toe that bothers us the most. What are AA trying to do, here? Are they saying that we, too, will be able to walk around with CAMEL TOE if we buy their clothes? Are they saying their clothes are so fugly we’ll want to rip them off immediately, even if it means flashing our bare breasts? WHAT IS THE MESSAGE HERE? And if there’s a bigger fashion crime than camel toe of this kind, we’re not sure we want to know…

  1. Bunnie says:

    Eww.
    She looks 12.
A 12 year old who rode bare-foot to her model shoot, fell off her bike and bruised her leg.
Also looks like she has some sort of rash on her face/legs/stomach. Perhaps from riding her bike in the sun with a bikini top on?
