Shoe boots – they’re the "trend" that just refuses to die, isn’t it? (And we’ve put the word "trend" in inverted commas because despite the proliferation of these monstrosities on the Internet, we’ve yet to actually see anyone wearing them in real life, have you?)
No matter how hard we wish that one day shoe designers will wake up and realise that – hey! These are actually really freaking fugly! – the message still doesn’t seem to be getting through, and so day after day we wake up to be faced with yet another pair of boots masquerading as shoes-and-socks. Sigh.
These ones are by Jill Stuart at ShopBop and are one of the most blatant examples of the trend yet. What do you think?

I’ve seen them in Payless in New York. No matter how cheap, I haven’t actually seen anyone wearing them. Maybe next year?
