One dress, several skintight ways to wear…

If body-con clothing’s your thing this season, then American Apparel is your store, because you see these girls? These slightly pissed-off looking girls in the super-tight dresses? These girls are all wearing the same dress – albeit in different colours. Yes, this is American Apparel’s amazing cotton spandex jersey bandau pencil dress (catchy name, AA!), and it can be worn in so many different ways that I can’t even bring myself to write them all down.
True, all of the ways you can wear this dress involve looking like you’re wearing a second-skin, so this is probably not one for the office Christmas party, your best friend’s wedding or, indeed, anywhere else that requires you to look vaguely classy. It’s currently selling at American Apparel for $34.
I love how the pictures in the slide-shows for this dress, seem to have been taken in their office. Poor Samantha, here she was, a lowly office clerk minding her own business, when her boss comes up to her and says: “Sam, you wouldn’t mind if we snapped some quick photos of you wearing (holds up a green rag) this dress? You know it’s almost time for me to calculate your yearly bonus? I mean, no pressure…”
Not the most respectable dress, but so wonderfully convertible. Can I resist?
i actually own this dress. it’s not as skanky as they make it out to be in the photographs… as this is the way with almost every item of american apparel clothing.
I’m impressed that it’s so convertible.
