The 2007 British Fashion Awards: Dita Von Teese

Ditavonteese It’s rare for Dita Von Teese to put a fashionable foot wrong, but oh dear, this isn’t her greatest moment, is it?

It works in theory: she was clearly going for the "gold statuette" look (always a good one for an awards ceremony, I find), but while there’s nothing much wrong with this dress in itself, its somehow managing to look almost matronly on her here. How?! How could this happen? Our faith in fashion is completely shaken by this "Dita Von Teese" looking slightly less than perfect moment. We need to go and lie now.

Still rocking the peep toe Louboutins though, we see. If only everything in life was as reliable as Dita’s shoes…

Both I and my husband are generally impressed by Dita Von Teese. This is not one of her best outfits, but hey, I wish I looked as good as Dita Von Teese on one of her rare bad days!

  2. Yunna says:

It is definitely not her best outfit.

The longer version of the dress in silver looks absolutely lovely on JLo.

  3. Bryan van Haughton says:

Ok, so I LOVE Dita. I think she’s absolutely divine! However, this look on her almost screams Joan Crawford. The expression, the pose, the dress.. But whatever. With all of the immaculate looks that Dita has perfected over the years, I think this is a microscopic faux-pas on her fashion timeline. :)
