They're great for a casual look, at least for teens.
I've seen some people wear them really well and others, not so well.
Personally, I probably won't be buying any though, i'm worried they might not be flattering!

I think they’re really cute!<br

I don't fancy freezing my legs off. I wear them with skirts and dresses that only show the socks when I'm sitting. Makes me feel sexier, even if no one else notices.

I love the look, but I’m not daring enough to wear them with short skirts. I actually like wearing them instead of full thick tights, because that can make things fit a bit too tight around the ol' curves. They're great with longer skirts and knee-length shorts, and available in loads more styles and colours than tights!
I've bought from Sock Dreams before, and they were pretty great. I just wished I lived in a colder climate again, so I could justify a few pairs ;)

Sock Dreams, baby!<br

With thick turtle neck jumpers (we're talking about, december/january, outfit here), hardly any skin showing. I guess this way any one can wear them... or am I a fashion criminal?

I do but not with short-skirt-and-half-bare-leg combo, I wore them last winter with reasonably short skirt, very dark tights, knee high simple flat (!!!) boots and in natural tones (plum, chocolate, dark grey, burgundy…). But only because I have a superhero and villains party to attend in fancy dress and the liklihood of me splashing out on gold-topped red pvc knee boots for one night is negligable... For real-world wear I agree that they should be seen on no-one above the age of 16 unless they want to be mistaken for the promotions girls who walk the streets of Newcastle handing out fliers advertising free drinks and topless waitresses to stag dos, and certainly not on a soul above about a size 12!! For the record, I'm ruled out on both counts!

I will be buying a pair, in fact I have just this morning ordered a lovely bright yellow pair from Ebay.
