Katherine Heigl works the wide-leg pants look
Well, it was a fairly close-run thing, but the majority of you said you liked the current trend for wide legged pants , so, just for you, here’s Katherine Heigl in a pair of wide leg jeans. While there’s a lot to like about this outfit – I love the shawl-necked knit and clinched-in waist, and I think she’s pulling off the "wide leg" look well – I still take issue with the length of the pants here. They’re so long she looks like she’s been chopped off at the ankle, and doesn’t have any feet, and while it may just be the angle of the photo, I think I’d prefer to see some shoes (preferably point-toed ones) poking out the bottom of those jeans.
Wide leg fans -what do you think? Do you wear your pants so they cover your shoes completely, and touch the floor, or do you prefer to show a little shoe?
More celebrity fashion…
I don’t like them this long! They look SO SLOPPY.
She looks gorgeous as usual. Love the look
I personally like my pants long enough to hit the top of my shoe if that makes sense. I’m 5′7.
Katherine’s pants are tooo long. Look at her back leg, your pants should never EVER drag on the ground.
The above poster is right, your pants really shouldn’t touch the ground, and there’s nothing to make any woman in the world look stumpy like a pair of pants that cover her feet.
Also, I don’t much care for the wide-legged pants in denim. I think they’re sort of the pants equivalent of a pencil skirt: always attractive professional attire, but in denim? Not so much.
I think she looks like a street sweeper- those pants are too long!
I can’t imagine those pants would last very long, it seems as if the combination of dragging along the ground and possibly stepping on them could lead to some pretty nasty fraying. And who wants to wear wide-legged nasty-bottomed jeans?
Waste of money!
Show a little shoe – always show a little shoe. Only the toe, though – there’s a fine line between too long and too short!
But on a serious note, what is the point in owning pretty shoes if you’re not going to let people catch a tantalising glimpse of them??
And when it rains? how do you do to wear thoses pants? I hate those pants!
Wide pants are better than skinny jeans, but that long? It’s a liability to have pants that drag. I am 5′ 2″ with really short legs, and no matter what pants I wear they drag…this is not good for fall, because if it rains, water soaks right up the leg! It makes me instantly cold.
Besides, if they are that long, how can you show off cute shoes?
It looks like she is wearing pants meant for a hefty 250 pound woman.
I like them sitting / dragging on the ground. It gives them more volume and a certain elegance.Like an old fashioned sweeping dress. I wear mine like that and you really know you are wearing something full when they drag
