Fashion Police at the Emmys – Katherine Heigl, Debra Messing and Christina Aguilera in white

Emmys07

Lots of red and other jewel tones at this years Emmys, but there was also a fair sprinkling of white dresses, and, of all of them, I think Debra Messing wore this look best, breaking up the white with the bands of black around this Ralph Lauren dress. Katherine Heigl in Zac Posen and Christina Aguilera in Valentino also went for the ever-so-slightly bridal look. Of the three dresses shown here, I like Christina’s least (possibly because white satin always strikes fear into my beating heart), but I guess a girl has to hide that baby bump somehow, and empire line is the traditional way to do it…

i see what you’re doing here…it’s called discrimination.just because christina aguileracome usually dresses unappropriate, doesn’t mean she always does it.it’s stupid to always criticize her.she looks good here…she’s not wearing too much make up, the dress isn’t short, she doesn’t look like a vamp…damn!…she’s never looked this good before….

  2. Have you ever actually read this site, Anastasia?
Actually, we’ve never criticised Christina Aguilera, much less “always” criticising her. In fact, we like Christina, and have published several stories praising her style:

Perhaps you should try actually reading the blog next time before you decide to jump in with your claims of “discrimination”?
Also, if you think someone saying “I like Christina’s dress the least” is “discrimination”, then you have a serious over-reaction problem…

    Ahem… moving on…
Agree that Debra Messing looks fab in this – love the dress and think she looks glowing and healthy. Still, I personally prefer Christina’s dress to Katherine’s – I think it’s the black bow that breaks it up a bit, and I love love love empire line gowns. I think it might be the manifestation of my long-standing Jane Audten obession. But then I did go to a wedding recently where the bride wore pree-tty much Katherine’s dress, which could explain my bias.

Agree on the white satin. It’s hard to pull off. First, it has a tendency to look cheap even though it isn’t – second, it wrinkles quickly. Crisp white looks a bit harsh on Debra, though. She would do better with a warmer shade of white.
