So, Neiman Marcus is 100 years old this year, and here’s how it’s going to work: we’re going to get the presents, they’re going to get the money. Sounds pretty good, no? I mean, I love me some presents for sure! The one big snag in this otherwise wonderful sounding plan, of course, is that we have to buy the presents ourselves. And they’re not cheap. This pink crocodile skin clutch bag by Prada, for instance? $8990. I know! Almost $9k to carry around a dead reptile – albeit a very beautiful one. I don’t know if I’m "down" with that, are you?
To be fair, the bag, like all of the other birthday exclusives, is a
"special" one. To celebrate their birthday, Neiman Marcus have managed
to persuade a whole bunch of designers (Prada, Manolo Blahnik, Stella
MCCartney, Gucci, etc) to create some limited edition pieces for them.
(Damn, I wish I’d thought of that for my birthday). This bag is just one example of what they’ve come up with – visit the Neiman Marcus website to see the rest.
