Versace’s Fall 2007 ad campaign featuring Kate Moss and the blue fur bag of doom

Versacefall2007adcampai_2

Well, well – Kate Moss scrubs up good when she lays off the crack, doesn’t she? I love her hair. I like the coat on the right. I absolutely adore the dress. But… wait. What the hell kind of animal did they kill to make the bag and the yeti coat? The Bag Snob says its fox fur, and points out, quite rightly, that it looks a lot like Grover from Sesame Street. Oh my God, Versace killed Grover! Kate Moss is wearing him! What madness is this?!

Little-known-secret FYI regarding Kate’s seemingly sans-crack cleaned up look:
I work for a fashion advertising agency that uses Kate extremely frequently in our clients’ campaigns…(I adore this blog of yours, btw)…
Kate looks so, so, so beyond horrible without *massive* retouching (much, much more than usual –even models of the same age/with children. We budget in $6,000 + 3 months for retouching alone *per image*.
    Sad but true.
She’s a legend, most definitely, and she still has great bones and eyes…but dear Lord, her lifestyle has taken it’s toll.

  2. Bonnie says:

I liked her in the beginning and thought she did well to last since she’s no great beauty.
However since the drugs thing and how she behaved after…still now, I’m totally and utterly off her and can’t stand to see her face anywhere. I wouldn’t buy anything she endorses full stop.
    What a waste. Shame.

  3. Laura Rose says:

The colour is nice , but the fact it’s made of fur is dreadful; I just do not get how it could be acceptable to wear fur. I dislike Kate Moss for that reason, she endorses fur.

and to use animal fur [yuk] then dye it so it looks and cheap and synthetic. This is the sort of bag toted by BTEC art students, bought for £6 at barnsley market.
