Crime of Fashion: Crocs Mammoth
Every time you think Crocs can’t possibly get any worse, they somehow manage to pull something out of the bag that’s so utterly fugly it takes your breath away. These furry Crocs were found lurking in the depths of the Next Directory (I know! And it was doing so well, too!) and look exactly like the shoes you see on garden gnomes. Like, exactly. And here was I, thinking the Croc boots were as bad as it could possibly get.
(Actually, I still think the Croc boots are probably as bad as it can get. I hope so, anyway.)
Can someone find the croc factory and burn it down please?
okay so whats with the loving of these crocs??
theyre so UGLY!
i wouldnt let a pair go near my feet, let alone buy them.
i see people walking down the street wearing these, and all i think is ‘poor woman….’
please….lets burn them all.
Crocs are great! I don’t think they are that ugly. I got the Georgie boot and I think they are great. But one of the best things about them is that they are 100% waterproof and I can wear them to work and stuff.
Note from the Fashion Police: Dan here works for a company promoting an online store selling Crocs, and has posted this comment just to spam that store’s URL (which I’ve removed) on the site. Crocs are still not cool. And neither is spamming.
I got mine here:

You know what I hate about the Crocs snobbery?
It’s a fad that started in the midwest and it’s anti-”flyover country” attitude. Snobbery is never fashionable. I’m a proud, cornfed sister!
Yes they have become the footwear version of sweatpants but they are comfortable and were unique when they first broke and they crossover to all age groups. That’s kind of neat. Also the price is affordable.
Their affordability is one of the reasons I think there is all the backlash. I hate Crocs’ sites, horror stories of kids and escalators.
All the retailers thought they’d be an add on item, $30 extra.
Instead they became THE item. Since they are price protected, only allowed to be double keystoned, there’s no big margin. to be had.
It also doesn’t help that Crocs is litagation happy. All the Croc/Jibbitz knock offs got hauled into court.
And, as a small retailer, I can say they dicked me around nonstop about the deliveries(I waited 3 months for my first reorder to show up,) shorted me important sizes and key colors and kept upping their opening order for a new style to the now 147 pairs. 147 x $15, that’s a chunk of change not to mention a lot of stockroom and floor space
Crocs cut off their noses to spite their face.
But for a brief, shining moment they were a egalitarian shoe, kids, teens, parents, grand parents, nurses, doctors, vets, chefs all united in ugly, fun comfort. .
The shoe as populist hero Too bad the CEO is a repug.
Omg! my boyfriend just bought me these shoes!
what do i do?
